Managing Underperforming Staff

6 Steps to Managing Underperforming Staff

If you run a business, the chances are you will be faced with at least one staff member who isn’t performing as you would expect them to, at some point in your career.

Whether you have an employee who has been with you for six months or ten years, the reality is that employees of all levels could find themselves struggling or unmotivated at some point. As an employer, you might be quick to assume that an employee is underperforming because they lack the required skills or the pride to do their jobs well. But there are often other factors at play and the only way to find a positive resolution is to approach the situation with an open mind and be prepared to work collaboratively with the employee.
